The MPSS-4 is a multi-purpose switching relay that automatically switches between two four-channel (stereo front/rear) RCA source such as in-dash cassette and in-dash cd players. The unit can also be mixed and matched with 2 channel sources such as XM Satellite Radio, iPod, DVD, Video Game, or CD players.
If a customer wants to add an additional head unit and switch between them, the MPSS-4 is the perfect solution. When the primary source is turned off, the secondary (slave) source is automatically turned on. Conversely, if the primary source is turned on, the secondary source is turned off.
The MPSS-4 features stereo front/rear RCA inputs for any two sources with p to four RCA outputs each. Four outputs (stereo front/rear) can be connected to a single four-channel amplifier, a pair of two-channel amplifiers or any auxiliary input adapter for a factory or aftermarket head unit.
The MPSS-4 can also be used to add auxiliary sources such as XM Satellite Radio, mobile DVD, VCR/VCP, Playstation, MP3, Minidisc, CD and DVD w/built-in monitor when there is no auxiliary input available on the head unit.
This unit is housed in a compact, durable enclosure with gold-plated RCA plugs for long-term reliability.
MPSS-4 four-channel multi-purpose switcher use to:
- Select between two source devices automatically if equipped with "amplifier trigger lead".
- Select between two source devices manually by installing your own 12 volt trigger switch (not included).
