This replacement for the Alpine KCA-801B adapter allows you to use the changer input on your Alpine Ai-NET receiver to add an Alpine Ai-NET CD changer and an auxiliary input for use with your XM Satellite Radio Receiver or any other line level source. This adapter will not work without a changer connected.
The ALPINE-AUX is a current sensing device that will automatically interrupt the ALPINE AI-NET audio lines going to the Alpine radio (and switch in an external RCA signal) whenever audio signal is detected on its RCA inputs. The ALPINE AI-NET audio lines will reconnect to their previous state 10 seconds after no audio signal is detected by the ALPINE-AUX on its RCA inputs.
