This auxiliary plus CD Changer converter, was specially designed for OEM (factory) Ford radios. The X3-FRDN connects to the X3 (brain module) and allows 3 auxiliary audio sources to be connected to the OEM radio when a CD Changer, Satellite Radio or Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) System is present. This converter will interrupt the audio of the CD Changer, Satellite Radio or RSE, switching from AUX1, AUX2, AUX3 and back to CD Changer, satellite Radio or RSE audio.
X3-FRDN harness will install behind the radio in-series with the Slave Unit data cable.
Note: Requires functioning CD changer, slave unit, satellite tuner, OR RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment). Vehicle must be equipped with a 16 & 20 - pin connector at the radio.
