JE '04 - '06 Subaru Legacy, Outback, WRX & Impreza Aux-Input SAI2005

This aux-in circuit board enables 2005/06 Legacy, Outback and WRX/Impreza owners to add an auxiliary sound source to their OEM stereo by tapping into the line levels for the CD audio. It utilizes the ribbon cable between the CD changer and the amp inside the stereo, piggybacking onto the CD audio lines by plugging that ribbon into this board and the ribbon that comes with the board back into the amp. This requires playing a silent CD to prevent hearing two things at once, but it provides a clean, aux line level in with no distortion.

It has an 1/8" stereo jack (a standard headphone jack) that you can plug into it whatever you want (XM, mp3 player, navigation or ipod work equally well) - the elusive "Aux-in". The package includes a paper copy of your specific installation instructions, the board a 2" patch ribbon cable and a silent CD.
