Satellite radio is catching on big in the motorcycling community. The Delphi Roady came out during the Fall of 2003 and is a perfect size for use on a motorcycle.
As can be seen in the photo at right, the Roady, its antenna, and all 21 feet of antenna wire are compactly mounted using the RoadyHolder!
The RoadyHolder lets you mount your Roady on top of a brake or clutch reservoir cover, or with a RAM mount.
To mount on a reservoir cover, all you have to do is remove two of the existing screws in the reservoir cover, put the supplied spacers on top of the cover, put the RoadyHolder on top of the spacers, and screw in the longer supplied stainless steel screws.
The RoadyHolder is made of electro-galvanized steel that's been given a double coating of powder-coat paint, so your magnetized antenna sticks firmly to the top shelf that's built into the RoadyHolder. We've also included some Velcro One-Wrap tape that lets you bundle up all 21 feet of antenna cord and then attach it to a piece of Velcro on the back of the RoadyHolder. When you're done riding, you can quickly move the Roady and its antenna indoors, or over into your car. The Roady itself can be attached to the RoadyHolder with the Delphi-supplied clip.
The RoadyHolder is available in a Standard version to fit most bike reservoir covers with holes spaced between 42-70 millimeters using 4mm screws (this includes BMW K-RS/K-GT/R-R/ R-C/R-RS, Goldwing, FJR, etc.). This version also accepts the R-A-M small diamond ball mount. Another version has an offset for clearance on the certain BMW models only: the LT, RT, and GS models -- choose the BMW Clutch (LEFT) option to mount the RoadyHolder on the clutch (LEFT) reservoir with the Roady inboard from there, and the BMW Brake (RIGHT) option mounts on the brake reservoir (RIGHT), with the Roady inboard. There's also a version for the BMW R1100 bikes (the ones with the flat, rectangular reservoir cover -- 1150s take the Standard or Offset version). Finally, we also have a Harley version in Black and Chrome.
