This kit includes the connectors and adapters to permit the use of standard RG-6 cable with standard satellite radio antennas. This kit, when used with the appropriate line amplifier(s), can extend the antenna cable up to 125 additional feet for a total of 145 feet. Multiple amplifiers (one for each 125 foot segment) can be used to make longer cables.
This kit provides the flexibility to allow the installer to cut RG-6 cable to custom lengths and to use plenum rated RG-6 cable where fire codes require. A 3 foot length of small diameter coaxial cable is supplied with an SMB plug to mate with the radio. An S-band rated line amp is also included. The amp(s) must be placed as shown in the attached diagrams at the antenna end of the cable to overcome cable loss.

125 Foot Extension The attached diagram shows the configuration for a 125 foot extension cable. To overcome the loss of the RG-6, a line amplifier is required to be located at the end of the antennas 20 ft cable.
250 Foot Extension The diagram shows a 250 foot length of RG-6. This requires the use of one additional line amp located as shown at the antenna end of the cable for a total of two amps in cascade. Do not locate these amps at the receiver end of the cable.
375 Foot Extension The diagram shows a 375 foot length of RG-6. This requires the use of two additional line amps, located as shown at the antenna end of the cable for a total of three amps in cascade. Do not locate these amps at the receiver end of the cable.
